Some friends of ours are having a very difficult time right now. Their son, Jake, is only about 16mos. old and was diagnosed with AT/RT, a very agressive form of childhood cancer. Jake has beenfighting this cancer with chemotherapy, radiation and numerous surgeries, including a brain surgery in December of last year. Last night Jake suffered a set back and had to have surgery this am to remove a clogged shunt in his brain that drains spinal fluid. He is also scheduled for an MRI to see if his course of treatment is fighting this terrible cancer. I know you don't know Jake or his family, but please put yourself in their shoes today and pray for Jake to beat this. Hug your children every chance you can and know that tomorrow is not a guarantee. Please put Jake on your prayer lists at church. I want to see him win his fight! Thank you.

He's in MY thoughts and prayers .... poor baby :-( I can't even imagine ... those of us with healthy children are so fortunate; we don't even know!!! I'm so sorry for your friends and Jake .... does he have a caringbridge page or anything we could look at and send some words of encouragement? So ... So ... So sorry!!
Thank you. I know some days
Thank you. I know some days you forget just how fortunate we are to have healthy children. It is a shame that something like this has to serve as a wake up. Jake does have a caring bridge page. Here it is: www.caringbridge.org/visit/jakedambrauskas
I know that his parents read this everyday and it gives them encouragement to keep going and make sure Jake sees smiles on their faces.
Jake will be in my thoughts
Jake will be in my thoughts and prayers along with his family. I can't imagine what the family is going through. They are blessed to have you in their life.
