Hey everyone,
I have a 3 year old son who has autism. His symptoms are mild (no tantrums, no self injury etc) but he doesn't speak yet. He communicates with signs and such. He is delightful and loving. Anyway, this is several months away at this point, but I'd like to have it squared up sooner rather than later. He needs someplace in the Washington Elementary School District (roughly 7th St to 51st Ave, Bell Rd to Northern) where he can ride the bus after his special needs preschool next year. He would arrive between 10:30 and 11:00 and I would pick him up around 2 PM. Basically, he would need lunch, maybe some outside playtime and some downtime. He does not have school on Wednesdays, and may require full day care on Wed's unless I make other arrangements. He has not been successful in a daycare setting in that he requires more attention than can be given when the ratio is 8:1. I also have a one year old that would need care 3 days a week (negotiable days) from 7 AM until 2 PM. Let me know if you know of a placement that may work. Thanks so much!!
