Can you guess the top names for 2007? I wouldn't have - but then my gauge for names is based on second and fourth graders. But I can see why some names are popular...it's cool to be an Ava or Ethan these days. But those weren't the top names...
Tops for boys was Angel, followed by Jose, Daniel, Anthony and Jacob.
For girls, it was Isabella. Then came Emily, Mia, Sophia and Ashley. (Funny, I wanted Mia so bad in 2000 - my husband didn't - and we picked Julia...I'm glad for that.) Here's the link to our most recent story and a link to our database of names.

Thanks for the link! I love to hear names and always think it's fun to see what the tops names are. When I was pregnant, I had a lot of fun choosing the names with my husband, and my sister would always call me with new suggestions. I'll have to tell my friend that has a Mia, that her name is in the top 3 now!

Before we had our first, my husband and I talked about names (a few years ago). And the names Jacob and Kyle were our top 2 for a boy. So when we found out we were having a boy we settled for Jacob...not realizing that in '06 that was one of the top 3 names (I think) for a boy.
I'm sure he will become better known as Jacob E.-but we think he completely looks like a Jacob.
Our little guy is now almost 10 months old. Hopefully he still likes his name 10 years from now. :)
