Just when you think you have seen it all. This morning I saw on TV a couple in Chicago named their baby Wrigley - their last name? Field. That poor child. They had him dressed in a Cubs uniform.
My Mother swore she went to school with a Harold Dick. I know we have seen Moonunit (Zappa) and lots of other, shall we say interesting, names. What do you think and what have heard out there?

Went to school with a Forest
Went to school with a Forest Woods, (that's not to bad),, had a friend that named her son Harold Redford Fox..aka Harry Red Fox.. She thought it was funny at the time 20+ years ago, I wonder what she thinks now..(HS pregnancy, she was probably stoned at the time)
" just my Opinion"
My brother's senior thesis
My brother's senior thesis advisor in college was Dr. Harold Cox. What's the usual nickname for Harold?
I had a teacher named Oakley
I had a teacher named Oakley Woods. My mom taught with a guy named Robert B Roberts...couldn't they think of another name besides Robert? How about Tom?! John?
I don't know what people are thinking when they name their kids but it isn't much, that's for sure!
I know, some are cute and
I know, some are cute and then some make you wonder what are those parents setting that poor child up for. Funny thing, I have a client who's name is Somer (as in summer) and she just got married and no joke, the guys last name she married is Sommer, so she's Somer Sommer, how funny is that ... makes me think of the Summer Loving song from the movie Greece, the part that goes summer, summer had me a blast ... LOL ...
I went to school with a guy who's name was Justin and his middle name was Time .... as in "just in time" ...
I think that's the only off the wall one I've personally known.
No way -- does she really
No way -- does she really say her name with a straight face? That's just too funny!

I know I knew of a guy way
I know I knew of a guy way back then - I was probably 15 years old at that time. On the way to the ranch I grew up in training for equestrian sports, there was a nice house on the right of a street and I said something to my trainer and our friend, "oh that's a nice house." My trainer said - "yes that belongs to Dick, remember him at the hunting ball party?". That guy was in his 50's and all I could say - actually blurted out was this "ya know, I feel bad for that guy cuz I can never name a child and have to say "Dick"'.....These women looked at each other and just started laughing all the way to the ranch....
Nowadays I don't hear that name in any younger generations anymore...

One of my high schools
One of my high schools seemed to have a corner on the market for awhile. There was a Kris Kringle, and some twins named Cash and Carrie. My favorite, though, was our health teacher's daughter: Anita Hickey. She got called to the office once, and as I recall, nobody remembered much else about the rest of that day...
I thought this was posted
I thought this was posted but nope, it didn't go thru...
I was named after a street that I guess my mom said I couldn't wait patiently in the rush hour on the way to the hospital to be delivered. So there I was born on Holly St and this is in California, not here. I like my name but jeez...to be named after a street is another story.
However - I know there was a twin - girls - born here in Phoenix a couple years ago and their names were Tatum and Shea. I loved it :)

I have a friend who went to
I have a friend who went to high school with a guy named Walker Nightwalker. Apparently, Nightwalker was his stepfather's last name, and he adopted him, so.... his mother didn't intend for this to be his name in the beginning anyway.
the names that some parents
the names that some parents come up with are so bizarre to me! When I look at all the "gossip" magazines and see the stars naming their children like Apple, Pilot Inspector, Rumer, Blanket, Coco, the list could go on forever. I begin to wonder what the children will think when they get older and have to introduce themselves as, Hi my name is Apple or hi, my name is Blanket.
I totally feel for all
I totally feel for all mothers picking a name .
I have been told a story of my childhood for many years
Well my last name is Hall and almost all my mothers friends and brothers ( my uncles ) told my mother to name me City , Mess or Kingdom I mean come on I don't think I would have been okay telling everyone my name is City Hall ..
Thank the lord my mother didn't name me any of those
My neighbors named their
My neighbors named their daughter, "Blue"....middle name "Jean" and last name, "Pond"...Initials, "BJ"...sigh...
