Nick Names

My husband and I call our 8 1/2 month old Pumpkin. Our 8-year old and 6-year old call our 8 1/2 month old Crabby Patty. haha. Our family call her Jules as her name is Juliana.

My husband calls our daughter Sunshine and i call her Pretty Lady or Princess. When she is cranky we call her a crankagator, crankapotamis...etc...
My sister calls her Pedal....i think that is so cute!

My son's name is Jaxon (Jackson), the nickname we have given him is Jackpot, for I was 41 when we got preggo, so we hit the Jaxpot!

my daughters name is Aubrey and I call her Aubers, then my boyfriend turns that into Aubers my Daughters. He also calls her tukes and puki butt. I dont know where either of those came from. One of her grandpas calls her baldy, cause it looks like she has no hair but its just light colored.

We call my daughter, Isabel, "Belly". Now when we say to my toddler, Davy, "Show us your belly," he runs to his sister instead of pointing to his tummy!

I love all the nicknames ... too cute!!

My daughter is Jenna and we've always called her "Punky" (given by her G'pa short for pumpkin) and also, I call her Ms. Boo, Boo Bear, Love Bug, and Punk short for Punky.

My cousins children are Aurora and she's called RoRo and her brother is James Thomas and he's JT.

I call my daughter Mia because we have 2 Megans in our our house. Or we call her big Megan and my husband's little Megan. I also call her Sweetie Pie, Pumpkin Head and Love Bug. My daughter is really small for 7 almost 8 so sometimes I call her Little Thing also. My son is 12 so calling him a cutesy name isn't cool. I use to call him my little man though since it was just us three for a while.

My daughter Makenzi Christine we call Kenzi Chris and our son Kai has always been Kai Kai but my uncle calls him Kymer Kymer. My neice Danika is Peaches and my best friend's daughter Brooklynn they call "Tootsie Pop" which I think is adorable! She even dances to her daddy singing the Lolly Pop song!

My husband calls our son "Buddy" - I just call him Alex, short for Alexander. I don't have a specific nick name for Julia (we despise Julie), but one of our family friends calls her "Little Miss Sunshine."

When our daughter was born her name just seemed too big for her. When I would go to say Christine, I just started shortening it and called her Teenie. When she got a little older, she did not want us to call her that in public, but one day one of her sport's coaches called her Teenie out of the blue. He immediately apologized and explained that it just came out; he did not even know where he got it from. She told him it was ok and since then she has embraced her nickname. She is feisty in all sports she plays, but she is still known as Teenie.

Only my husband and I get our daughters nickname which is Stink cause she is so stinking cute. I say where is my Stink? And she points at herself. Or I call her my love. I say where is my love? And she points at herself. She has all kinds of nicknames.

we used to call my almost 3yr old son "Grasshopper", until one day I was dropping him off at daycare, and I said, "love you Grasshopper, see you after school", and another kid heard and freaked out because she had a huge fear of grasshoppers, and thought I had just pointed out a grasshopper.

Why she had such a specific phobia at 18mo is beyond me.

Lately, we've been calling him "Monkey" and I refer to just about everyone at some point as "Sweets" or "Darling"

I can't even remember why or how I gave my 6 yr. old his nickname of "Scooby". He did watch a lot of Scooby Doo when he was little, maybe that is how it happened. I do try to refrain from calling him that in front of his friends. It did slip out one day when I was dropping him off at school and boy did I hear about it later!

I call my 3 year old son baby love and his 5 month old sister tiny love. That isn't going to last forever.

They both have many nicknames:

My older kids have soo many nicknames. My son's name is Alec - he usally ends up being Allygator. Or gator. My daugher megan is known as moo, and megz to her friends - but most often she is known as Lemur. (and she calls me mamalemur - hence my screen name). Long story with the Lemur - but whenever I want to make her laugh i text her a picture of a ring tailed lemur...
But i really don't have many nicknames for my youngest. Her name's morgan. It's just usually Morg. or Morgee. Okay. I usually just call her baby... Her grandma calls her morgy porgy pudding pie and it drives her crazy. She's ten. :)

Our daughter was 5 lbs when she was born so for a few months she was "the sandwich" she was so teeny that she could have fit on a foot long bun - Now she is "Love Bug" - mostly "buggy" :)

Pach and Apachita.........

My babies are 1/4 apache so my parents gave them the names. Pach is my son, he was given that name long before he was born and it has stuck with him for 4 years now. People often think that it is "patch" but either way that is how we pronounce it. My daughter was born on cinco de mayo so she gained the name apachita. My DH and I call our son pach, and/or buddy bear. But my son has recently came home and requested that "great" be added to his name. So he is know as Tias the "great". My daughter goes by the name of Cait, or princess.

I have a few names for my daughter for name is Michelle so I call her either Chelle or Renee (her middle name) But her "nickname" is Summyshine instead of Sunshine. She always has a bright smile on her face.

My youngest was going through a tough 3yr old stage and we called her "Stinkerbell" (her room is decorated in tinkerbell.)
I call the both mine sweetpeas because both their names start w/ a "P".

We call our 9 month old son Gabbagoo!

For older son we sometimes would call him 'buddy' as a baby - just because it was a name we occasion would refer to when my husband would call during the day to see how our son was doing. He'd say 'how is buddy". I also have a shortened version of his name too - that mostly is his current nickname. For our younger son my hubby calls him 'muscles' mostly because for his age he is a big baby - 90th percentile. I call him 'baby'...I'm sure as he gets older I'll have a new nickname that is more fitting. Nicknames are cute!

Israel is Izzy or Cheeks. He looks like the baby on Ice Age but I can't remember what the animals called him.

people are probably going to take this the wrong way, but I have kind of an offbeat sense of humor and so does my husband.....when my son was a baby we called him "the small punk" as a term of affection.........I can't remember how it got started, but it stuck around for a while. I know, it's wierd.
Now that he's older, I don't really have a nickname for him.......I call him honey sometimes(only at home!), which is funny because he's the only person I have ever been able to use those kind of pet names with and feel natural.........most of the time I just call him by his first name, or I call him "dude"......when I pick him up from school it's usually "hey, what's up, dude?"............or we call him "bud" or "buddy".
Now, oddly enough, the three of us have a multitude of nicknames for the dog.........her name is Ashley, and we refer to her as:

the 'shlee
the 'shless
no idea how we came up with those, they just became a part of our vocabulary....

My 6 yr old calls her 19 mo old sister Little One and My Baby and I call her Monkey and I call my 6 yr old Beautiful or Princess.

My 18 year old is Troy but my youngest who is now 2 has called him Bob ever since she could talk. We dont know any Bob's and have no idea why she calls him this. Before "Bob" he was called Troyby, Troy boy, Troyd, Johnny Applesauce (I craved apples when I was pregnant with him) and Roylene and his washing machine.

Cameron is CJ BJ Bomber, Camrod, Cam, Mr Cranky Pants.
Isabella is nicknamed Bella, Nugget (she's a little nugget of goodness), Great Nugget, Dugget (it rhymes with nugget), Doogy, Doogit, Bubby, and Beautiful.

My dad is called Brumps because he is Grumpy but Troy couldnt say Grumps!

i started calling my youngest son stinker becsue he ws a handful, it eventually evolved into tinker. he was tinker until he ws 9 when he started playing pop warner football, the coaches named himlittle bull because he was the smallest but had a temper and charged at the oponents like a bull. my dad has always called him little man because he didnt look like a baby, he was a preemie and looked like a little old man. my oldest i called sugar and when he started talking he couldnt say sugar and it evolved into cougar and he has been that forever.
