The "point thing" was started with the relaunch of the site last year to track postings for some incentive rewards, but it is not being used for anything at the moment. We were discussing it in our "moms" meeting today. Wow, I love the idea of using points to buy things! I'll have to mention that one! As of now they don't mean anything, but we are brainstorming. Keep the ideas coming! Looking forward to chatting with you!

I'm all for buying things but.....do we really want people to make posts to ratchet up points for a future trade in value? I like quality over quantity.

Yepper. You can buy the opportunity to care about someone else. Your points are a reflection of how long you've been in the community. Nothing more, nothing less. This isn't a game show. We're not vying for the "right" answer, and there is no popular vote to determine who has the best advice.
