So my mom is one of those moms that works out, eats pretty well and fights aging with every breath she takes. She will be 64 this year and she looks more like 50!
This is my question. Should I throw her a surprise party when she is so in denial about her age? When she turned 60 she didn't want to celebrate at all!
I'd like to do something special for her and I know she has never had a surprise party. I threw one for my dad two years ago (they are divorced but friends) and she seemed a little jealous about it.
Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks!!

I would do it. Who cares
I would do it. Who cares what moms think when they deserve it all but choose not to have it.
My mom is the same way. She never wants anything, but I still send her goodies through the mail.
I don't think we can ever do enough for our moms.
Plan something at her favorite restaurant and invite her closest family members and friends. Live life to the fullest, because believe me, I know life is so short.

Birthday parties are a fun
Birthday parties are a fun time for family and friends to get together and have fun. It's not really about how old or young we are. If she likes big get togethers and being with friends and family then I say go for it. If she is really the type that is not into big get togethers and being the center of attention then maybe just throw her a surprise dinner with a few of her close friends and family members.
I would throw her a party.
I would throw her a party. 1) making her feel special on her day, 2) you mentioned she was a little jealous about your dads, 3) no need to mention what age she is turning. Good luck!
There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one!
I agree with the others, and
I agree with the others, and you don't need to mention her age at all, just celebrate her birth. I bet she'd love it.
Let us know what you decide! Have fun!

Surprise her! She deserves
Surprise her! She deserves it. Just don't put 64 candles on her cake lol! My mom bday is on Sunday and we are surprising her. It will be small but we are bringing her favorite food and cake.
