I took ArizonaMoms on a suggestion by one of the online managers....I also created time-starved_goddess_mom after my old blog's title (for a while I was blogging that way and just posting tidbits under arizonamoms). I don't use the time-starved one these days - again, a suggestion. But the reason I called my blog that was I feel time-starved and I am the goddess of my house (plus I found it funny because as much as I think I'm a goddess, I'm soooo not) and of course, I'm a mom.

Lavender_sea is actually a email address that has morphed over the years used to be LavnderH2O, and then we got a cox account, and now it changed to Lavender_sea. I love the color purple, and my favorite scent is lavender. I just think that lavender water is beautiful. That's just me though.

I started with a different name, but got rid of it with the old and brought in the new name for this new time in my life. Bookworm mom .... I've always had my nose in a book from the time I was 2 and I'm a mom. That's me.

I was feeling a bit blue one day. I love being in Arizona, but one day I was missing New York a bit, and was feeling that it was a long way home. I've lived here 12 years now (plus I did three years hard time in a midwestern state), but childhood nostalgia still kicks in sometimes.

It's pretty obvious what it is now, but my original name was pctgoldfinch. PCT for prescott where we came from. I always use the name goldfinch for logins. We have a book in our kids collection called the Unicorn's Alphabet. The "letter G" is for Goldfinch, described as a little bird that will do almost anything to get food to her babies. Boy have I been there.

Life IS too short...so I make the best of it in the here and now. Then, as I was looking for a picture to go with my name, it all came together. The picture is of a night-blooming cactus. The bloom only lasts one evening, so I make sure I get up early to see it's beauty. Just as the flower only blooms for a short time, my children are only small once. So I enjoy all the time I can with them right now (the good, the bad, the crazy).
