I have been so busy lately and have not had time for anything, more or less read a whole novel. Last Thursday when I took the girls' to the library I actually picked something up for myself. I figured I could at least get to read on our way up to Mogollon Rim and on the way home. Surprisingly, I actually finished the entire book on our camping trip. It was The Bright Side of Disaster by Katherine Center. I found the book by searching "motherhood, fiction" at the library. I wanted just a light, funny read. The book is about a woman in her late 20's, who's life does not go as planned (who's does?). It's about parents, men, girlfriends, babies and of course mommie. I found myself relating to Jenny alot through out the book. It's a fantastic, unpredictable love story. I cannot wait to read her second novel which will be out soon. So, I recommend this book :)

Congratulations! I know how
Congratulations! I know how hard it is to squeeze in time to read a novel when you're a mom, especially a mom of four! I try to read for 20 or 30 minutes in bed at night, though often I pop myself in the forehead with the book when I fall asleep mid-chapter.
I just finished local author Stephenie Meyer's new book, The Host. It was a great, fun read. It was so intriguing that I sometimes found myself still reading at 1 a.m.! The mom from Glendale is the author of the teenage vampire series which includes Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse.
