It is slick. It's impressive
It is slick. It's impressive in that it really reaches into the pop culture of our younger voters (and some of us older but hip types). will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas - who's prominent in the video - wrote the song based on an Obama speech, obviously.
There's also John Legend, another well respected and hip musician in it, plus actresses Scarlett Johansson and Kate Walsh (Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice). For old school folks, who like to think of themselves as hip too, there's Herbie Hancock and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Quoting Paris, "That's hot!"
Filmmaker Jesse Dylan, Bob Dylan's son, directed it - adding to a "classic" cool factor.

I pretty much only got the actresses and Kareem identified the guy from CSI Miami and Michael from Lost... But even for the un-hip like me, I watched it a few times. I am not sure I am any more informed, but I did feel moved... I loved how the word HOPE turned into VOTE.

After I watched again, I noticed Michael from Lost, too. It was a cool video.
Others looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place their faces.
I don't think any of the other candidates would inspire such a video, based on their star support...but then again, what do I know?
Did you read up on how John McCain's camp angered John Cougar Mellencamp for using some of his songs? Kinda funny.

There is a joke commercial now for McCain, that is done in the same style, but quoting his speach where he says "we'll be in Iraq 50 maybe a hundred years" and the "celebrity" sings that and then mouths "what the f&#*?" and walks away. They sing "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" and end with a "Hope only different" message...
