"Alibi network"?!

Rhonda's picture

I read in an out-of-town newspaper this week about a site that creates credible alibis for "people who need to avoid awkward situations." Like missing work. Or being somewhere other than they claimed. And of course (no surprise,) much of their business apparently comes from people seeking to cover for extramarital affairs.

Some of the arrangements get pretty elaborate. Read about it for yourself: http://www.alibinetwork.com/index.jsp

While on the one hand, I appreciate how clever such a service provider is, on the other hand, I'm appalled at what it means. What do you think?

It does sound like a joke.......but again in the world we live in now I can believe it.....
You have those people out there who cheat...so why not make money doing what you do....cheating and helping others cheat!

I tried checking on snopes.com, but nothing came up. I wouldn't be surprised if it's true, people will do anything they can to make a quick buck. Personally, I find it disgusting!

It is better to be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you are not.

I read a similar story in

I read a similar story in the Republic just a few days ago and couldn't believe it either. I remember there was a $75 annual fee plus other costs, depending on how elaborate the "alibi." The lengths some people go to!
