Any ideas on working from home?

I worked from home for twelve years and just recently started working full-time in an office. It has been quite an adjustment and one day I want to go back to working from home because it's just so much more efficient than the lengthy commute I now have. Anyway, in my situation, I found that if I did something I truly loved and really worked at it, I eventually made money at it, and good money at that. For me, that love was writing and it just developed over time into a career as a freelancer while opening a whole new world to me. I'm now switching from traditional print media to new media and am going back to school this semester to learn more as I tackle the learning curve at work. So, in a nutshell, my advice would be to follow your passion, do what you love, and the money will come.

I tried this. It is a legitimate company however the job wasn't for me. If you go to www.transcriptionexpress.com and click on Employment Opportunities it gives full detail on qualifications that you need to meet. You have to go to a training class for three days, come back the fourth day with your practice work, and then maybe the fifth day if you didn't do so well. After that you are good to go. Very nice people there, you actually meet the owner and her husband, and it doesn't cost you anything for the training class. The only thing that you need to buy is a transcription machine which I found on Craigslist for $70. Basically to give you an idea of what the job is.....you will pick up tapes of lawyer/witness talking about a car accident for instance. You listen to the tape and type what the people are saying. That's it. You get paid per page. You have a few days to do it and then you need to return it to them. They are located in Gilbert but they have remote drop off/pick up locations in the East Valley. It's not for everyone but some of the people that I trained with who I am still friends with are still doing it and they love it. Good luck!
