I think this is pretty cool deal, but I have an Alexander (we just call him Alex) at home.

You may know Childsplay is putting on "Alexander and Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." Opening day is on Saturday.

I'm told kids of all ages named Alexander or variations of Alexander can see the play for $5. Regular seats are $20 and $25.

Performances are:

Saturday, May 3 - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. (Opening)
Sunday, May 4 - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. (Wacky Shoe Day)
Saturday, May 10 - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Sunday, May 11 - 1 p.m. (Mother’s Day Drawing)
Saturday, May 17 - 10 a.m. (Pajama Matinee) and 1 p.m.
Sunday, May 18 - 1 p.m. (American Sign Language Interpretation).
Saturday, May 24 - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Sunday, May 25 - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

It's playing at Tempe Center for the Arts Mainstage, 700 W Rio Salado Parkway

What a cute idea to offer discounted tickets to children with the name Alexander or similar. I am sure the show will be adorable. I will have to let my sister know, her daughter's name is Alexia.
