Does anyone know the scoop on why Target's diaper aisle is practically bare and they have all their Target diapers on clearance? I love these diapers. They are comparable to Pampers, but cheaper and usually have a cute design on them (Care Bears). They NEVER leaked with my first. They had them last night only in clearance and marked down to bargain prices. I bought a package of newborn 96 diapers for $9.00. We bought about $90.00 worth of newborn and size 2.
I really hope they are just chaning the packaging and not discontinuing but does anyone know? I called Target customer service and they don't know what is going on.
Thx...

How long has the sale been
How long has the sale been going on for? If it starts on Sundays you'll find that they get cleared out pretty quick. Maybe they hadn't restocked or something. I do know now that the comparable target brand (desitin comparable) diaper rash cream is terrible. DON'T BUY IT. Nothing like the original desitin that it's compared too.

I don't think it was just a sale, because the shelves were totally empty.

maybe with everything being
maybe with everything being so expensive, people are resorting to cheaper brands like they never did before and all of the sudden Target couldn't keep up with the demands. I know this has been the case with other 'cheap' items everywhere....all of the sudden people are buying them....

I think it's just your store
I think it's just your store running out...I noticed the same thing at a target near where I work, but the Target near the house was fully stocked, and then a few weeks later, the Target near work was fully stocked again.
I hope they're not discontinuing, I also like these, and am expecting #2 in a few months.
Check to see if they're
Check to see if they're still selling them online. Chances are if they're still online and not in the clearance section on line they are still selling them. I can't imagine why they would get rid of store brand diapers if they sell well. Maybe they are going to make some modular changes at the store you were at and were trying to get them off the shelf as to not have so many items to relocate. I don't know, just a thought.
I wouldn't worry about them
I wouldn't worry about them being discontinued or anything. On several occasions I have bought boxes of Pampers that were marked on clearance and wondered what was up, but just took advantage of the cheap price. Next time you go back, they'll most likely be stocked again.
