I'm looking into getting a hybrid car and I was wondering if any of you own a hybrid. If so, what make/model? How many miles per gallon do you get?
Thanks

I don't have one but I know
I don't have one but I know I was interested in Ford Escape Hybrid but my husband couldn't fit in it :( He's 6'8"....
I am waiting for Ford to come out with a bigger SUV Hybrid which will eventually happen in a couple years....

It depends on which one you
It depends on which one you are looking at. I did my research on www.cars.com and it had a list of all the different kinds of Hybrids. My husband and I decided to not go with a hynrid because they are over priced. Good luck in your search!
We have a 2006 Toyota
We have a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and love it! I love that it is so quiet and when I'm sitting at a red light, the engine shuts off and kicks over to the battery. With gas prices today, I like this feature. Gets around 27 mpg in the city.
I know that some companies and credit unions actually have set prices worked out with different car dealers around town, and that really helped bring down the cost. We also bought the SUV when there was the hybrid tax credit on it. Look around and see if there are any tax credits for federal and state.
If your concerned about horsepower, this SUV will still plant you back in your seat and take off. Plenty of pep! Actually has more pep than our 6 cyl car.
Hope that helps.
I would suggest you test
I would suggest you test drive one first. I was set on getting a hybrid until I actually test drove one. I did not like how it drove and feels like it shuts off at every stop, etc. My husband still wants one though. Good luck!
There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one!
