lost recovered kitten

We had a lost kitten show up on or doorstep 3 weeks ago. He looked like someone or thing had ruffed him up a bit and he had a little wound on his back from whatever hurt him.
He's only about 3 months old and he is so cute, BUT he needs a home. We can't keep him because of allergies and I'd hate for him to get hurt or killed because he is just living on our front porch.
He has not long and not short hair, and its black on the front part of his body and the back part is black with white streaks. Ho reminds me of a little old man going gray.
He is great with my kids and can be good with dogs because he is so young. Again he is very cute and so sweet, he's always puring. I hate to get rid of him, but I would hate it even more if he got hurt again or even killed because he's always outside.
Does somebody want a kitten? Please let me know if you are interested and I can email you his picture.
Thanks

Well, the problem with the Humane Society and all other pounds is that they are overloaded with kittens themselves and a lot had to be euthanized (sp?). However if this kitten is hurt - then it would need some medical attention soon.

I would suggest posting something under Pets in azcentral.com? I noticed they have a real cool list of animals up for adoptions/sales and with pictures.

I am not wanting to take him

bookworm_mom's picture

I am not wanting to take him to the HS because his chances of being put down are huge, so I am hoping to find a caring family to adopt him. His injury is healed up, I could never have let him suffer without helping him.
Thanks for the tip about azcentral.

I've always heard you should

I've always heard you should charge a fee for pets. Even something like $25. There are sick people out there that will take a free animal to use for horrible things like dog fighting training or sell it to a lab.

You are very kind to be looking out for this kitten...good luck finding him a new home.
